This kit is made from the highest quality components including aircraft grade hardware and T6 aluminum.
It is CNC machined for accuracy. Designed to fit all 57-66 Buick 364-401 and 425 engines. This kit is for the builder who already has the Buick flexplate from the 64-66 models and a Chevrolet flexplate for the converter. On 64-66 Models originally equipped with the Switch pitch 400 or ST400 this is a direct bolt-on. On 57-63 models originally equipped with a dynaflow; it is necessary to use the later "short snout" starter. This starter was original equipment on 64-66 Buicks with the Buick 400 transmission. On 57-62 Models it will be necessary to drill and tap an additional bolt hole in the block to compensate for the change in the upper bolt location on the later starters. When using an OE flexplate on a model originally equipped with a dynaflow; It is necesarry to enlarge the I.D. of the flexplate to the dynaflow specs.
